So there I was, ready to see if spell hit is still broken, and suddenly I get a BG pop. Upon zoning in, I see the same thing that I frequently zone into--horde is losing and there is only a few minutes left. In this case there was 4 minutes left and the score was 2-1, both teams had control of their opponents flags, there was only time for one attempt with a pug composed of people I don't recognize.
To my surprise, the first warrior waited for two more horde to come up from below, and we promptly engaged 2 rdruids and a 24 priest on enemy roof with 2 prot warriors an arms warrior and a mage. There was less than 2 minutes left. I positioned myself to poly the healer while we focused the priest, I say focused here lightly because let face it, the priest was the first one available to charge. The poly was clean and druid was in caster form... but the 26% miss chance would not be denied.
By some shear stroke of luck not only did the 24 priest decide to s-key off the ledge, but Plumcake (rdruid) remained out of sight of the pug warriors--which meant I would be free to poly again without lol ss the rdruid sheep. There was 60 seconds left.
Suddenly an alliance prot jumped in as I was sheeping Plumcake's regrowth, fortunately she selected the nearest charge target instead of me... The poly was good but Plumcake trinketed and started regrowth again. The alliance prot warrior turned to me and almost stopped my focus cs with panda racial. I say almost, because I somehow fat fingered my target cs rather than focus cs which essentially reset the fight. There was 30 seconds left.
I was 'pissed', I came into this fight late and had a clean opportunity to get a win at the last minute and lost it on a dumb mistake. Then the efc (Manbeardruid) moves closer to Plumcakes, suddenly I'm faced with 3 pug dps all on separate targets. Can't stop the rage at this point and begin typing, but both my 'u' and 'k' keys don't see to be responding.
Somehow, in a purely serendipitous moment, the alliance warrior decides to stand at range and only throw knives at me while the horde warriors respond to my 'FC' remark by re-focusing on the efc. Plumcakes jumps down and the efc falls shortly thereafter. The horde flag carrier moves into position and get the cap, mere moments before the end of the match.
I type gg, put another notch in my belt and laugh as the 24 priest finally makes her way back to the roof to kill me. For the Horde. But seriously, FC 26% spell miss chance.
